The Nashua School District (NSD) is soliciting proposals from qualified security integrators for work related to the installation of access control and surveillance equipment across the Nashua School District. The project would consist of work at the Birch Hill and Main Dunstable Elementary Schools. Both schools were constructed in 1972 and were renovated in 1993. Both schools are scheduled to be renovated within three years with construction starting summer of 2023. The following is a listing of the upgrades planned for this project: A. Supply and Install cameras. B. Supply and Install card readers. C. Supply and Install any needed cabling. D. Supply and Install replacement network video recorders. E. Terminate and Install existing equipment. F. Rename existing access control/intrusion system portals, events and zones. Additional information on the above systems is provided in Appendix B. The named systems are required by NSD. In interest of keeping its systems and components uniform across the district alternate products will not be accepted unless a product requested by NSD is no longer in production or backordered. In this case NSD will provide an alternate to all bidders. The contractor shall develop detailed cost estimates for each system including proposed name/brand/type of major equipment to be used, and present them to the owner. Estimates must include all cost associated with each scope item, including but not limited design, approvals, construction, overhead, profit, etc. Decisions to proceed with each system will be made by the owner dependent on the system estimates and funds availability. Upon notice to proceed by the owner, the contractor shall complete all required drawings, obtain applicable permits, provide submittal packages for owner approval, and complete the installations. All drawings shall be stamped by a currently licensed professional electrical engineer. Period of Performance: All work under this contract must be substantially completed no later than August 25, 2025.
