Work of the Project includes the upgrade/ installation of overhead paging systems in each building. In order to provide this service, the RFP will require the following: a. The paging system must allow the building to page all rooms, specific zones, and individual rooms. b. Each classroom including the multipurpose room should be considered a single paging location/ zone. c. Hallway speakers should be considered a single paging location/ zone. d. The office areas should be considered a single paging location/ zone. e. The system will interface with the existing NEC SV8100 telephone system. f. End users must be able to dial a specific number that interfaces into the paging system so that they are allowed to page from any phone in the building. g. Vendors may recommend additional speaker or horn locations. h. Vendor is responsible for disposal of old equipment. i. The system must be able to provide bell schedules or alerts to notify students of class changes. j. The paging system programming interface, administration, software and documentation will be provided to the District. k. The paging system administrative login information required for programming will be provided to the District. l. PoE+ switches, if proposed, must be compatible with HP ProCurve (Aruba) 5400R ZL2 equipment. m. Contractor to tie-in to available MDF and IDF closets; a map of closets is provided in Appendix D. 1.
