Project Description: The new education building is a 1-story wood framed 3,265 sq. ft. structure designed with a centered main entry located on the West elevation with Vestibule and Reception space and a secondary entrance for staff located on the South elevation. The center will host a conference room for 12 people, a computer lab for 10 people, and 8 offices. The design also contains three restrooms with one being ADA compliant. Storage room and a Janitor closet provide support for the center. At the secondary entrance is a kitchenette with a break space and cubbies for staff. The site lot is roughly 18,000 sq.ft. with an abandoned building debris and out-building on the site recently removed by the tribe. Parking lot to be shared with the proposed Childcare Center project located at the adjacent lots to the West on the same block. The shared easement / alley location is where the proposed shared paved parking lot is located. The exterior of the building is proposed to have sloping roofs. The primary material for the exterior will be a metal panel rainscreen system articulated with a horizontal orientation, with variated, staggered alignment. Interior finishes will be painted gypsum wall board, carpet tile and resilient tile flooring with tiled floors and walls in all bathrooms. Sheet wall protection will be used in hallways and restrooms for additional durability and ease of cleaning. Windows will be thermally broken aluminum storefront framed with prefinished metal trim consistent to the exterior metal panel siding. Accented areas will include hallways, office areas, conference rooms and computer lab with colorful painted walls, local native tribal artwork, and wainscot panels. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website.
