Sealed proposals for the construction of the WEST SIDE NON-MOTORIZED IMPROVEMENTS ES-563. The improvement consists of: Install bike lanes buffered with vertical elements on Eldridge Ave from Broadway Ave to Nequilicum Ave. Four intersections on Eldridge will have ADA improvements and marked crossings with Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) added. Install bike lanes buffered with vertical elements on Cornwall Ave from Granary Ave to Wharf Street. Install shared lane markings / bicycle sharrows on connecting streets. Install pedestrian crossing improvements at an additional 13 intersections, focused on the west side of the City. Price Range: $1,000,000-$3,000,000. All proposals must be on the Bid Proposal form provided by the City of Bellingham and must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, cash, money order or bid bond payable to the Finance Director in an amount equal to or exceeding five percent (5%) of the total bid. No other form of bid security is acceptable. The right is reserved to postpone making the award for a reasonable length of time, to reject any and all bids, or to waive irregularities not affecting substantial rights. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
