This Project will involve upgrades intended to address operational issues associated with wet weather events and to provide additional treatment capacity. Improvements generally include: a. Collection system modifications upstream from the West River Pump Station to allow excess flow to be directed to the Influent Wastewater Storage Tank. b. Wet weather pumps in the West River Pump Station. c. Wet weather force main and gravity sewer from the West River Pump Station to the Influent Wastewater Storage Tank. d. Collection system modifications downstream from the West Jefferson Pump Station to allow excess flow to be directed to the Influent Wastewater Storage Tank. e. Installation of Influent Wastewater Storage Tank with flushing system and controlled discharge to existing headworks. f. Influent screen replacement. g. Grit removal system replacement. h. Conversion of the existing aerated grit tank into a lift station. i. Installation of Influent filters to replace the primary clarifiers. j. Construction of a filter building to house filters, pumps, grit equipment, and blowers. k. Demolition of the existing primary clarifiers and construction of additional aeration tanks. l. Aeration system improvements. m. Conversion of an existing aeration tank into an MBR tank. n. Construction of an MBR building to house MBR system blowers, pumps, controls, chemical feed systems, and a dewatering system. o. Demolition of the final clarifiers. p. Removal of chlorine feed system. q. Conversion of the existing chlorine contact tanks into a UV disinfection system and reaeration system. r. Installation of a lime feed system including bulk storage tank. s. Modifications to the electrical systems including utility upgrades, WWTP electrical distribution system modifications, MCC replacement and additions, and generator replacement. t. Ancillary improvements as necessary for a complete and operational system
