The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Detention Center (FDC) SeaTac, intends to make an award to a responsible contractor for the provision to install a Fire Pump Test Station located at the Federal Detention Center, 2425 So. 200th St., SeaTac, WA. 98198. B.1 Acquire all parts, materials, and skilled labor to either; a. Fabricate a custom test header manifold, i.e., (Water Pressure Test Station), or b. Purchase a pre-manufactured test station that will be of adequate size and design type to pressure test the institution's existing fire pump. B.2 The test station will be installed in a logical location outside the institution's exterior perimeter wall adjacent to the fire pump room. B.3 To connect the test station to the fire pump's discharge piping, the contractor will be required to; a. Core drill a pipe hole through the institution's perimeter exterior wall, b. Modify the existing fire pump discharge piping to accept new test station supply line and associated isolation valve. c. Seal the core hole around the supply pipe with an applicable sealant application. d. Operational test the new apparatus. A PRE-BID site survey will be made available for interested contractors to assess and estimate the work requirement.
