Supply and Install Gutters and Down Spouts to Multiple Family Housing Units Located on MacDonald Crescent & Gatacre Street, Sydney, N.S. 1 Contractor shall arrange an on-site meeting with gutter installer and Project Manager to review scope of work. Project Manager shall complete inspection during the initial installation of new gutter and guard. 2 When accepted, mock-up will demonstrate minimum standard of quality required for this work. Mock-up shall include a 4 foot length of bent gutter, one downspout with 3 foot hinged extension and precast splash pad. 3 Contractor shall be responsible to coordinate work with Project Manager Removal and Preparation 1 Remove existing Gutters and Accessories; 2 Prepare surface for new installation. 3 Seal any penetrations in existing fascia with clear or white exterior grade sealant. Tremco Dymonic, or approved equal Installation 1. All downspouts shall be fastened to structure with gutter straps. Straps shall be fastened to solid structure using zinc, powder coated screws. Length of screws to be sufficient to penetrate min. 3A" into solid structure. 2. All gutter components shall be fastened together using zinc, self-piercing, powder coated screws. 3. All downpipe connections are to be fastened together with a minimum of three pan head stainless steel screws. This may be in the form of a Performance Bond and a Labour and Material Bond each in the amount of 50% of the contract. Alternate acceptable security includes a minimum of 10% of the Contract amount in the form of a Certified Cheque. Estimated Duration of Contract (months) : 1 The Contractor shall comply with all Federal, Provincial or Municipal laws and regulations, relating to the work and shall pay for all permits, licenses, fees and certificates required for the execution of the work. The right to reject any or all Bids or to accept any Bid deemed most satisfactory is reserved by the Authority. The Authority reserves the right to waive any informality in any or all Bids.
