ON JULY 29, 2023 Questions can be submitted to CFLContracts@dot.gov PROJECT NAME: Generals Highway Wall Repairs PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project includes emergency repairs to multiple sites on Generals Highway and Mineral King Road within Sequoia and King's Canyon National Park from 2021 wildfires. The wildfires burned off wall facing, burned guardrail, caused burned trees to fall on/damage guardrail, and eroded embankment at a curb location. SCOPE OF THE WORK: The primary scope of work is reinforced shotcrete facing of 8 Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) walls, curb repairs at one location, and various guardrail repairs. Guardrail repairs include removal of damaged rail/blocks/posts, replacement of rail/blocks/posts, and installation of new guardrail and terminals. PRINCIPAL WORK ITEMS: 56603-0000 Reinforced Shotcrete: 2,210 SQYD (includes coloring) 60101-0000 Concrete: 45 CUYD (concrete footing for shotcrete facing) 61702-1500 Terminal Section, Type MGS Tangent: 5 EACH 63501-0000 Temporary Traffic Control: LPSM ESTIMATED COST RANGE: Schedule A estimated total cost is $700,000 - $2,000,000.
