Complete renovation (excavate, install new subgrade, compact and pave), including loam and seeding all edges of a 17,775 square foot parking lot Background Goodyear Early Childhood Center is home to 130 preschool students. The current parking lot for faculty and parents is in disrepair, creating unsafe conditions for our youngest learners, parents, and staff. B. Project Description Killingly Public Schools is seeking a contractor to provide a proposal to remove and dispose of existing asphalt of approximately 17,775 square feet. Excavate subgrade and supply and install finish grade and compact. Pave 1 layer of Class #1 binder compacted. Pave 1 layer of level #1 super pave compacted with below guidelines and conditions: a. Contractor to confirm square footage prior to proposal b. Removal of existing asphalt and disposal c. Excavate out 5 inches of sub grade d. Supply and install 4 inches of 1.25 inches finish grade and compact e. Pave 1 layer of Class #1 binder compacted to 2 inches f. Pave 1 layer of level #1 super pave compacted to 2 inches g. Loam and seed all edges h. Repainting of existing parking spaces and driveway markings i. All concrete curbing to stay in place and shed will stay and be paved around A mandatory pre-proposal walk-through is scheduled for June 6, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at Goodyear Early Childhood Center 22 Williamsville Road, Rogers, Connecticut 06263.
