This project includes HVAC upgrades at two separate library facilities. Norton upgrades consis of replacing an indoor air handler, its associated condensing unit, and boiler plant replacements. Odom upgrades consist of replacement of three packaged rooftop air handling units. Opinion of probable construction cost for this project is $830,000. A Pre-bid meeting at ASCPL Odom Branch Library located at 600 Vernon Odom Blvd., Akron, OH 44307, will be directly following the close of the Norton meeting. This meeting is optional. All questions concerning the project shall be directed by email to Joe Cavanaugh, PE, CEM. of Scheeser Buckley Mayfield: jcavanaugh@sbmce.com. The last day to submit questions is Wednesday, June 14th at 3:00 p.m. The Akron-Summit County Public Library reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional bids. Also, the Library reserves the right to reject the bids of any bidder if the Library believes it would not be in the best interest of the Library to make the award of that bid; whether because the bid is not responsive or the bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standards or criteria established by the Library.
