This is solicitation for the Beach Nourishment Great Egg Harbor Inlet To Townsends Inlet Ocean City, Upper Township, Sea Isle City Cape May County, NJ. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District intends to issue Invitation for Bids (IFB) W912BU23B0012 for Beach Nourishment of Great Egg Harbor Inlet to Townsends Inlet in Cape May County, NJ. The project is on the Atlantic coast of New Jersey. It includes from 34th-59th Streets in Ocean City and the Ludlam Island Communities of Upper Township and Sea Isle City. Ludlam Island extends from Corsons inlet to the north to Townsends Inlet to the south. The contractor will conduct pre-placement condition surveys and pump/place approximately 1,353,000 cu yds of sand from two borrow areas: Corson's Inlet and L1, which is approximately three miles offshore of Sea Isle City. The sand placement areas are as follows: Place 257,000 CY in south Ocean City from about 45th-59th Streets Place 456,000 CY in Upper Township/Strathmere from Corson's Inlet to about Jasper Rd. Place 252,000 CY in central Sea Isle City from about 29th-53rd Streets Place 388,000 CY in south Sea Isle City from about 73rd St to Townsends Inlet. Options to place up to an additional 1,071,00 cu yds of sand from the same borrow areas to achieve the full project template at these same beach locations with additional areas in southern Upper Township and northern Sea Isle City may also be included. Sand must come from the offshore borrow area. Trucking-in sand will not be permitted under this contract. Some additional work will be necessary: dune repair, sand fence placement, dune grass planting, dune crossover repair. The Period of for the base work is estimated at 290 from Notice to Proceed. This acquisition will be a Full and Open Competition, Invitation for Bids (IFB). The will be made as a whole to one responsible bidder in accordance FAR part 14 Procedures. The bid opening is currently scheduled for 07 September 2023 at 1:00 PM EDT. Reference the solicitation instructions for bid opening and details. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO CHECK SAM.GOV FREQUENTLY FOR ANY AMENDMENTS OR CHANGES TO THE SOLICITATION, INCLUDING THE BID OPENING DATE. All work under the contract must be completed no later than 30 July 2024. The contract period of is 290 calendar . The of Construction is between $10,000,000 to $25,000,000.
