No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 35 days after time has been called on the date of opening. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond and in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid. Both performance bond and a payment bond will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities and to award the project on whatever basis is in the interest of the Owner. Envelope shall be marked 'SEALED BID - Blakeney ES HVAC" The Pre-bid conference is mandatory in order to submit a bid. Prospective Bidders not attending the Pre-Bid Conference will not be allowed to submit bids on the project. 1. DRAWINGS INDICATE SCOPE OF WORK - FINAL DETAILING WILL BE COORDINATED WITH PRIME CONTRACTOR. 2. ALL EXISTING WALL MOUNTED HVAC UNITS SHALL BE REMOVED. CONTRACTOR SHALL EXERCISE CAUTION NOT TO DAMAGE UNITS. OWNER WILL EVALUATE CONDITION OF UNITS TO DETERMINE WHICH ONES WILL BE SALVAGED. THE OWNER SHALL RETAIN UP TO 40 UNITS TO BE SALVAGED, OTHER UNITS TO BE DISPOSED OF BY THE CONTRACTOR IN A LEGAL MANNER Additionally, any questions regarding the bid documents or the bid process should be directed to David Holton at djh@jwbuckley.com 1. HVAC Replacement entire building.
