Demolition and Rehabilitation of Existing Offices at Pipestone National Monument This is an Invitation for Bids (IFB). The resulting contract is expected to result in a firm fixed priced construction contract. The complete specifications, drawings, provisions and clauses are available on http://www.sam.gov. Project Description: Work consists of selective demolition of existing office, bally building and finishes to make way for new office and collection storage. The collection storage will have a chemical agent fire suppression, its own HVAC and be separated with a non-code required rated wall. Replacement of windows with new framing with insulated metal panels will provide both security as well as thermal barrier to the new enclosed space. This project is within the exiting Visitor Center. The facility will continue operations throughout the construction period and maintaining envelope security and weather tightness is of upmost importance. New floorings, interior finishes, lighting, alarm systems are all included in the area of remodel. Project Location: Pipestone National Monument, 36 Reservation Ave, Pipestone, MN 56164. Magnitude of Project: Between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Bonds: Required as stated in block 12. A bid guarantee is required 20%. Bid bond is required to be submitted on a Standard Form 24. A copy of the bid guarantee shall be emailed with your bid package. Performance and Payment bonds/protection in the amount of 100% of final contract award amount. NAICS Code: 236220 - Addition, Alteration and Renovation, Commerical and Institutional Buildings. Notice of Set-Aside: 100% Unrestricted (No set-aside). The size standard is $45.0 million. Schedule: The Government anticipates that the work will be completed in 333 calendar days, including submittal period, with work tentatively starting in Spring 2024. The final performance period start date is contingent on issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP). Wage Rates: Wage rate determinations (Construction) formerly known as the Davis Bacon Act are incorporated into the terms and conditions as attachments.
