Project Background: HiLight is a high-speed fiber broadband internet service provided by the City of Hillsboro to benefit our community. This fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) network provides high-speed Internet and VoIP telephone services to citywide residential and commercial customers. The City has approximately 43,000 households and 5,400 commercial entities. There is a mix of multi-dwelling units (MDUs), residential, and commercial addresses. While the City intends to perform many customer installation services internally, we plan to rely heavily on the contractor(s) to supplement our internal team for some functions. Contract Duration: The initial term of the Contracts will be for three (3) years which may be extended for up to two (2) additional one (1)-year term(s) upon the mutual written agreement of the parties to the Contract.
