The proposed repairs involve the replacement of concrete filled steel grid bridge decking and associated construction on both the Springfield and Ludlow sides of the bridge. Per the City of Springfield and the Town of Ludlow, the bridge will be allowed to be closed during construction, pending the approval of a Traffic Management Plan. All questions regarding the bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement no later than 4:00 PM on June 1, 2023. Repair / Replacement of 8' +/- length of concrete filled steel grid bridge deck on each end ofthe West Street bridge structure which will also include the removal / resetting ofthe granite curbs. Work will also include the posting ofa vehicular detour as the bridge will be allowed to be closed during construction. Questions must be submitted to the attention of Lauren Stabilo, Chief Procurement Officer (lstabilo@springfieldcityhall.com). A copy of of all questions must be copied to Christopher M. Cignoli, P.E., Director of the Department of Public Works at ccignoli@springfieldcitvhall.com.
