Reference number : 1725916 Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2023-05-29 Université de Montréal is issuing a call for tenders to retain the services of a general contractor for asbestos removal and installation of new lighting fixtures to be carried out at the Claude Champagne Hall Pavilion located at its de la montagne campus. Summary of the project and the work to be carried out The lighting fixtures located on the mezzanine level of the Claude Champagne room are at the end of their life. The relamping of lighting fixtures is done from the ceiling space (confined space) that currently contains asbestos. The general contractor will be required to perform the following work: Remove asbestos from the entire ceiling and fireproofing again as specified by the professionals in the plans and specifications. Replace lighting fixtures as specified in professional plans and specifications The Claude champagne room will be completely closed for the duration of the work. The work must begin on August 15, 2023 and be completed no later than November 30, 2023. Schedule of work The Contractor undertakes to take all necessary measures to meet the schedule scheduled to begin work on or around 2023-08-15 allowing the issuance of the Certificate of Final Acceptance no later than: 2023-11-30; The work must be completed by November 15, 2023. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
