As of August 9, 2023, a general contractor has been selected by the city council. Description of Project/Professional Services: The objective of this (RFQ) is to solicit interest and credentials from qualified design-build firms, licensed in the State of South Carolina, to provide progressive design consulting, engineering and construction services for repairing Dams 3, 4, and 5 at Catawba Bend Preserve. Upon review of the proposals submitted, it is the intent of the County to select a Team to provide the services outlined in this RFQ and enter into a Progressive Design-Build contract. The Project will be designed and constructed in two phases using the progressive design-build delivery method: Phase One: Preparation of Dam Repair engineering report and option matrix for the County for approval; design document and permitting information development (30-60% design) such that the selected design-builder can prepare and provide a project implementation guaranteed maximum price (GMP) proposal. Phase Two: Complete design, permitting, construction repairs and post-construction tasks in accordance with the GMP.
