Reconditioning of the Gurnee 2,000,000 Gallon Ground Storage Tank to include interior and exterior coating systems and a full containment system. A summary of the work items is included below: 1.Complete reconditioning of Gurnee 2,000,000 gallon ground water storage tank. 2.Replacing of all valves in existing altitude valve vault. 3.Miscellaneous repairs to the ground water storage tank. 4.Improvements to Gurnee ground water storage tank site. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Anniston Water Works and Sewer Board in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interest of the Owner will thereby be promoted. The work of constructing the project will be let under one Contract if an award should be made; and the Owner reserves the right to select the Bid considered by the Owner to be in the best interest of the Owner. The work to be done under this Contract by the Contractor, at his own cost, shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, supplies, tools and equipment, and of performing all work necessary to construct and fully complete the project entitled The Reconditioning of the Gurnee 2,000,000 Gallon Ground Water Storage Tank (Project. No. 23015) all in accordance with the Contract Drawings and Specifications and with the requirements and provisions of the Contract Documents, all of which form this Contract.
