Pursuant to the provisions of the Texas Government Code 2269, Subchapter F, it is the intent of the College of the Mainland (hereinafter known as Owner) to solicit proposals from qualified vendors to provide Construction services in the One-Step process as described herein. B. Project Team: The selected Respondent will join a Project Team which will include Owne Administration, Program Manager and Architect/Engineer, all of whom will be engaged in acooperative effort to provide the Owner with successful and cost-effective solutions for a new Corporate and Continuing Education Center Building. The selected Respondent will assist the Owner, its Architect and Program Manager with pre-construction services and to construct the project thereafter as a Construction Manager-At-Risk. C. Project Information: The Owner plans to build a new Corporate and Continuing Education Center Building for the College of the Mainland. The project consists of new construction of an approximately 20,000 GSF facility to include program requirements for the development of newworkforce certificate programs as well as relocation of the existing Corporate and Continuing Education program and is expected to include 5 classrooms, a large meeting room and professional offices. Located on the perimeter of campus, the building will be accessible to both community andstudents. The project also includes improvement of existing surface parking, all required site utilities and detention as required as well as site/landscape scope adjacent to the building. D. The design phase began September 26, 2023 ; Construction Documents are expected to be complete July 25, 2024. Estimated Notice to Proceed is October 14, 2024 with a SubstantialCompletion date of October 31, 2025. Time is of the essence for this Project. E. The Owners estimated Budget for the Cost of the Work $ 10,000,000 (Ten million dollars).
