As of August 4, 2023, bids received were rejected. No definite date for the rebid. A. Scope of Work: 1. The Contractor will employ and pay for services of an Independent Testing Laboratory to perform Testing specifically indicated on the Contract Documents or specified in the Specifications and may at any other time elect to have materials and equipment tested for conformity with the Contract Documents at the direction of the Engineer of Record. 2. Contractor shall cooperate with the laboratory to facilitate the execution of its required services. 3. Employment of laboratory by Contractor shall in no way relieve Contractor's obligations to perform the Work. All questions and clarifications must be submitted via e-mail by 4:00 p.m. (EST) on June 7 (Wed.), 2023. The undersigned agrees, if awarded this bid, to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the total project price within ten (10) calendar days after notification of award, to the Purchasing Department. The undersigned shall be responsible and bear all costs associated to record Performance and Payment Bond with Sarasota County Clerks Office. A bid bond executed by a surety acceptable to the Owner for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the base bid, made payable to the Englewood Water District, shall accompany each Bid Response as guarantee the Bidder will, if awarded the contract, promptly enter into an agreement to do the work and furnish the required Performance and Payment Bonds.
