RFP #23-04 TURNKEY SPLASH PAD AT LONG MEMORIAL PARK Questions will be received until May 25, 2023, 4:00 P.M. and should be emailed to Carlos Velarde, P.E. at cvelarde@valverdecounty.texas.gov The County of Val Verde is seeking request for proposals (RFP) from firms that are interested in providing a competitive sealed proposal for design and construction of a single recirculating splash pad at Long Memorial Park located at 1176 Lenawee Avenue in Del Rio TX, County of Val Verde 78840. Turnkey Project will consist of providing services for a design, material and construction for a Splashpad area to consist of 1,500 square feet. With a concrete surface all around splash pad, artificial turf, an enclosed chain link fence for the equipment and equipment pad, artificial turf and a blank chain link fence for the perimeter of the area. Water source will be from a water well with a pressurized system. Pump specifications: 7 1/2 HP, 77 GPM, 2" PIPE The surface deck should be specified as a light broom concrete finish. Add/Alternates should be made available for surface options of the products that the contractor is accustomed of installing and provide specific warranty, example and benefits of using in place of a light broom concrete finish. The Splashpad shall be designed to accommodate all ages - toddlers to school aged children. All proposals will be evaluated based on the company's experience with this type of project, availability of their products, time required to complete the requested work, and warranties offered. Proposals should include references from other similar projects. All operational and maintenance instructions, timing and use options shall be demonstrated and shown operational by the successful offeror, and or by the manufacturer representative at no extra cost to the County. These tests should also include pressure testing of all waterlines prior to any concrete or other types of permanent work being completed. These inspections are to be witnessed by County staff, and other relevant individuals as needed. The primary use of brass and stainless-steel components within the plumbing system and Splashpad features is recommended.
