Scope of Work: The Lee County Board of County Commissioners seeks to contract with a qualified Vendor to provide complete landscape maintenance and mowing at specified Lee County Transit (LeeTran) locations as provided herein. These services are further described below and include, but are not limited to, mowing, edging, string trimming, trimming shrubs, pruning trees and palms, weeding, fertilizing, irrigation services, supplying replacement trees and shrubs, and mulching. Liquidated Damages: Damages paid usually in the form of monetary payment, agreed by the parties to a contract which are due and payable as damages by the party who breaches all or part of the contract. May be applied on a daily basis for as long as the breach is in effect. Preparation Cost: The Bidder is solely responsible for any and all costs associated with responding to this solicitation. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with the preparation and submittal of any bid, or for any travel and per diem costs that are incurred by any Bidder. Any inquiries, suggestions or requests concerning interpretation, clarification or additional information pertaining to the solicitation shall be submitted in writing prior to 5:00 PM at least eight (8) calendar days prior to the date when the submission is due. Responsive and Responsible: Only bids received from responsive and responsible bidders will be considered. The County reserves the right before recommending any award to inspect the facilities and organization; or to take any other necessary action, such as background checks, to determine ability to perform is satisfactory, and reserves the right to reject submission packages where evidence submitted or investigation and evaluation indicates an inability for the bidder to perform
