Phase I/II engineering services are required for preparation of or amending an existing phase I design report and developing contract plans for the reconstruction of the South Bound Interstate Route 39 weigh station pavement north of IL 38. The proposed improvement includes pavement/ramp reconstruction, modify existing geometrics, weigh-in-motion (WIM) scale, multiplatform scale, locate signs, signals, utilities, striping and employee parking. Chapter 16 of the BDE manual has specifics for weigh station design and there are examples available for reference. This work will also include identifying locations for the scale house and possible 20’x100’ inspection building. That work will be completed through a separate contract with the Capital Development Board.
