In the event County rejects all proposals, County may readvertise or make the purchase on the open market Goochland County, Virginia (County) is seeking sealed proposals from licensed and qualified architectural/engineering firms with previous experience in the design, engineering, and construction administration of a new Fire-Rescue Station 1. Develop project program to meet requirements of the Fire Department. 2. Design and prepare project plans and specifications for the construction of the fire station including the project site build-out to include conceptual design, schematic design (30%), and design development (60%, 90%, and 100%). 60%, 90%, and 100% review sets shall include specifications. 3. Conduct geotechnical engineering and investigations of project site, as needed 4. Conduct a wetlands delineation, as needed 5. Investigate and design utilities and infrastructure for project development, including, but not limited to, water, sewer, and storm water. Coordinate new power feed, data services/county fiber connection, and natural gas 6. Work with the County and Fire Department for space planning and layout requirements to meet the Fire Department needs. 7. Provide cost estimates at each submittal phase. 8. Work with stakeholders from various agencies as required. 9. Prepare Site Plan Review documents, participate in site plan review meetings, and respond to comments. 10. Assist the County and construction contractor with all aspects of value engineering process. 11. Participate in County coordinated public information, public relation services, and community outreach. 12. Adherence to Virginia House Bill 2001 (HB 2001) should reflect the law 1.1.10., if applicable 13. Design shall comply with Section 15.2-1804.1 of the Code of Virginia, if applicable 14. Provide bid assistance and respond to RFIs. 15.
