The general scope of work is to upgrade the electrical standby power including a new fuel tank enclosure for 1200 National City Blvd, National City, CA 91950 (National City Police Department). This is a general description of the work to be done by the Contractor and is not intended to be the official scope of work which is described in the Contract Documents. The City shall pay all permit fees to be paid to the City Building Department. All other fees shall be paid by the Contractor. The Contractor shall coordinate all aspects of the project and pull all permits. For all prevailing wage requirements, the Bidder shall refer to Section 7-2 LABOR of the Special Provisions, and Appendix 2, the State of California, Department of Industrial Relations and the Federal-Bacon Act if federally funded. If the Work involves federal funds or otherwise requires compliance with the Davis-Bacon Fair Labour Standards Act, the Contractor and all its subcontractors shall pay the higher of the state or federal prevailing wage rates and comply with all Davis-Bacon Act requirements. The Agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularity, and to take all bids under advisement for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date the bids are publicly opened. All costs incurred by bidders as a result of preparing bids under this Notice Inviting Bids shall be the sole responsibility of each bidder. This Notice Inviting Bids neither creates nor imposes any obligation upon the Agency to enter into a contract. A bid must be submitted with a fully executed satisfactory bid bond by an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total aggregate bid amount. Bids shall be submitted with a bid bond, payable to the City of National City and executed by the Bidder as Principal and surety as Obligor, in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. A bid bond must be on the form provided and the surety insurer shall be California admitted surety insurer Construction estimate: $1,300,000
