Richland County is requesting bids from qualified contractors to install sidewalk along the eastern side of Summit Ridge Dr to tie into existing sidewalk from Bombing Range Dr to Palmetto Park Circle. Deadline to submit Questions Oct 30th 2023, 2:00 PM EDT Scope of Services: The services to be provided under this project will include: Construction - Installation of new 5-foot sidewalk, new pedestrian ramps, repair work to asphalt roadway and curb and gutter, and protection/relocation of existing infrastructure and landscaping. Quantities are provided in a separate document. Construction standards will be per the Richland County Land Development Manual and SCDOT specifications unless otherwise approved by the County Engineer. Cleanup of the site is required daily. Storm drainage inlet protection is required where curb inlets are located. Any damage to existing infrastructure such as signage, driveways, irrigation, utilities, landscaping, and private property must be repaired to the County Engineer's satisfaction unless otherwise called out for disposal orreplacement. Traffic Control- This is a high-volume residential road. Appropriate traffic control must be provided (refer to SCDOT standards for guidance). Utilization of short lane closures and flagmen is required. Work hours may be restricted to nonpeak traffic hours. Pavement Markings- The contractor should inventory existing pavement markings prior to work start. Place markings as shown on plans or directed by the County Engineer.
