Project includes multiple upgrades to the existing Village of Lexington Water Treatment Plant located on Lester St, west of Main St. Proposed project will increase the firm capacity of the existing Water Treatment Plant to 2.4 million gpd. Upgrades to the facility will be demolishing the existing CMF system and the addition of two package water filters, for a total of four packaged water filters. Also included are chemical feed pumps and related appurtenances for additional capacity of alum, fluoride, and chlorine. Also included as part of this project is a 500,000-gallon ground storage tank that will be located on the WTP site, just southwest of the building. Improvements will also be made at the Raw Water Intake Building, where the pumps will be rehabbed, SCADA improved, and the addition of air tubing running to the inlet structure for frazil ice mitigation. The Raw Water Intake Building is located at the east end of Lester St, on the shore of Lake Huron. Division 2 of the project includes a new Booster Pump Station along M-90 (Huron Ave). The station will include a prefabricated triplex pump skid housed inside of a 12' x 8' building.
