As of June 30th, 2023 this project is pending an award decision. Legal Notice No. 23-8407-13 CITY OF MIDDLETOWN Fire Station Alerting System Proposals accepted 11:00 a.m., local time, Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023, at which time they will be opened. Details available at www.cityofmiddletown.org/bidview. 5-8/2023 There are currently four (4) fire stations in the Agency system. All 4 stations are being rebuilt in new locations. The 4 new stations will consist of a Headquarters station and three (3) prototype satellite stations. The headquarters station construction is to begin in the fall of 2023 and is to be completed in twelve (12) months. The 3 satellite stations will be completed in ten (10) months with some construction process overlap. Entire fire station construction project to be completed by fall of 2025. The desired System shall interface with the Agency's communication center, the Agencies existing CAD and the Butler Regional Interoperable Communications System ("BRICS") radio systems. The System will primarily communicate using TCP/IP over the Agencies LAN, with redundant legs of connectivity via the BRICS, Butler Counties P25 interoperable public safety communication system and a 5G LTE WAN connection. The desired System allows the "stacking" and simultaneous alerting of response units, speeding up deployment of the first responders.
