Bids will be received at that time on all portions of the Work for completion under a three-prime or combined contract. Bids shall be labeled "Grafton Innovation Lab" and indicate if it is for general, mechanical, electrical, or combined (note which are included in combined) construction, with the bidder's name and address marked clearly on the envelope. Methods of award will be the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. Each bid shall be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a Bidder's Bond in a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the full amount of the bid, including all add alternates, executed by the bidder as principal and by a Surety Company authorized to do business in this state, conditioned that if the principal's bid be accepted and the award contract awarded to him, he within then days after notice of the award, will execute and effect a contract in accordance with the terms of his bid and a Contractor's Bond as required by law and the regulations and determinations of the governing board. All contractors and subcontractors will be required to carry all insurance including builder's risk insurance. Cash, cashier's check, or certified checks will not be accepted. A copy of the contractor's license or certificate of renewal thereof issued by the Secretary of State shall be included with the bid. All bidders must be licensed for the highest amount of their bids as provided by Section 43-07-05 of the North Dakota Century Code. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities or reject any and all bids and to hold all bids for a period of 60 days after the date of opening.All bidders are also encouraged to contact the Architect (in writing, a minimum of 24 hours before) with questions.
