Once a new well is installed, the existing well needs to be plugged. The cap placed on the existing water well should support 400 pounds and should not be easily removable by hand. Vendor will need to measure the dimensions of the well (diameter, depth, and water level) to determine the size of the well. All debris will need to be removed from the well. Any obstruction will need to be removed to avoid fill materials from slumping or settling. A state well plugging report form will need to be obtained and filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The City of Del Rio reserves the right to consider any other factors that it deems to be relevant to its needs. The City reserves the right to request additional information from an individual or to request all submitters to submit supplemental materials in fulfillment of the content requirements of this request for bids (RFB) or to meet additional information needs of the City Any questions concerning bid specifics should be addressed to Luis Menchaca, Purchasing Agent via e-mail at Luis.Menchaca@cityofdelrio.com by JULY 6, 2023 at 5 PM. Bids cannot be altered or amended after submission deadline. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Del Rio or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. All Bids including Bond or Cashier Check shall be submitted in a sealed envelope included with the sealed bid. The selected vendor must also deliver a performance bond to the City of Del R
