Proposals must be submitted by 12PM, on Friday May 12, 2023. Proposals will be opened at 2pm that same day, on May 12, 2023. Bidders are hereby notified not to contact any member of District staff and its elected officials, except as provided herein regarding this proposal until such time as a contract has been awarded. Answers to all received questions will be sent to Bidders attending the pre-bid conference and posted on the District website. The New Milford Public Schools (the "District") is requesting proposals from qualified contractors to provide for the following services at New Milford High School. Sanding, painting, and refinishing of the gymnasium floor. 2. SCOPE OF SERVICES All materials and procedures should conform to M.F.M.A. Maple Flooring Manufacturer's Association. Contactors shall provide a process with submitted bid. A temperature range of 55 - 80 degrees Fahrenheit and a relative humidity of 35-50% should be maintained for finish curing time. Court dimensions must be in accordance with CIAC and National Federation of State High School Associations specifications. Bleachers shall be in their fully retracted position during sanding and refinishing. Bleachers should be protected from products such as, but not limited to; solvents, paints, and urethanes used as part of the refinishing work. Consideration should be taken to scrape all corners and edges. Any cove base damaged or dislodged during the refinishing process shall be replaced or reattached by contractor at their expense. Contractor is responsible for any electrical hookups and disconnects associated with equipment used in the refinishing process. The District will not be responsible for any permits or costs associated with electrical requirements. Colored drawings and descriptions depicting layout of game lines, center logo, and lettering, including stain and paint color samples, shall be submitted to Project Director for final approval prior to application. Sand wood floor system to bare wood removing all existing floor finish and paint. Screen/sand, vacuum, tact in between coats according to M.F.M.A. guidelines. Fill all holes from previous repairs with wooden plugs or filler per M.F.M.A. guidelines. Apply two (2) coats Bona SuperSport DTS waterborne sanding sealer. Apply two (2) coats Bona SuperSport HD waterborne wood floor finish. Apply BonaSuperSport Paint in the number of coats required to produce a solid appearance. Apply M.F.M.A. approved wood stain for floor area within the 3-point arc
