Replacement of Existing Windows This is in addition to the work identified in the Walker Building Selective Exterior Repairs Project Plans REPLACE EXISTING WINDOWS: 1. Provide and install six (6) picture windows. 2. Windows shall be composed of aluminum, tempered glass, dual pane, and energy efficient meeting the Massachusetts Energy Efficiency standards (i.e. Low-e, argon gas). 3. Windows shall be white in color and have a grille to match the existing windows on the building. Project Description (brief overview): Replacement of existing windows and deteriorated area of wood trim that is detaching from the building. Contractor is to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, services, permits, fees, disposal, and insurance necessary for or incidental to a contract to perform the work indicated. The work shall include the provision and installation of six picture windows, tempered and dual paned with Low-E glass and argon glass to meet the Massachusettes energy efficient standards. Windows will be white with grids. From the sill below, the wood panel will be replaced to match the existing look. This includes the removal of deteriorated areas of wood trim and all associated coatings and sealants as well as all incidental work are required to complete the repairs. All construction aids including temporary hoists, scaffolding, staging , chutes, and other devices are required to complete the work and maintain the egress door which will remain accessible to the public. All work shall be in accordance with the approved plans, the technical requirements, building codes, regulatory agencies, including OSHA and all applicable Massachusetts general laws.
