Lincoln Electric System is requesting bids to furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, and material to remove the existing roof on the TBGS Fire/Service Water Storage Tank and replace it with an aluminum geodesic domed roof per LES specifications included in this bid solicitation. Successful bidder will be required to complete (1) the LES Construction and Installation Contract; 2) furnish proof of insurance with coverage specified in the Contract by an insurance company licensed to do business in Nebraska and rated at least B+ in A.M. Bests Rating. Certificate must show LES listed as additional insured for general liability and include waiver of subrogation; 3) furnish a performance and labor and material payment bond from a surety licensed to do business in Nebraska and also rated at least B+ in A.M. Bests Rating, 4) Return a completed copy of the Equal Employment Opportunity Compliance Request Form. Question Deadline 09/06/2023 at 4:00 PM Communications and technical questions concerning this Bid shall be submitted through electronically SCOPE of WORK Tank Information: The structure is a 700,000-gallon steel storage reservoir with a 55 ft. diameter and a sidewall height of 40 ft. The reservoir is located at the Terry Bundy Generating Station at 7707 Bluff Road in Lincoln Nebraska. The work includes: Aluminum Geodesic Dome Installation: Remove the existing steel roof and roof support stiffeners and column. Install an aluminum geodesic dome roof. Exterior Coating: Water dampen abrasive blast clean coating burned by welding/uncoated steel to a SSPC-SP6 commercial standard. Apply a spot four (4) coat epoxy urethane system to the top of the sidewall where damaged from roof removal and welding during stiffener installation. Wet Interior: Water dampen abrasive blast clean to a SSPC-SP10 near-white metal standard. Apply a three (3) coat zinc epoxy system. Repairs: Install fall prevention devices on the exterior ladder sections and replace the fall prevention device on the wet interior ladder LES may, in its sole discretion, reject any or all bids, or waive minor defects, irregularities, or informalities therein This Project Summary is an overview of the entire Project and is intended but is not guaranteed, to place all project specifics in one location to aid Bidders. 1.01 SCHEDULE The Contractor is to abide by the following schedule: Site access will be available on March 4, 2024, to begin construction of the geodesic dome and possibly some preparation work on the tank. Note that the tank will be in service at this time. The tank will be drained and available for complete Contractor access on April 15, 2024. Substantial Completion by May 31, 2024, including cure and disinfection time.
