The work covered by the plans and specifications consists mainly of the following: Avenue Elmwood Replacement of the 150 mm drinking water main on Ave. Elmwood with a pipe of the same diameter between Chemin de Senneville and Avenue Pacific over an approximate length of 345 metres; Construction of lateral vegetated knots for stormwater drainage; Rehabilitation of the pavement structure and paving of Avenue Elmwood and between Chemin de Senneville and Avenue Pacific; Rehabilitation of grounds and facilities. Avenue Pearson Replacement of the 150 mm water main on Avenue Pearson with a pipe of the same diameter, mainly located off-road, between Avenue Pacific and St. George's High School. Restoration of surfaces following the work according to plans. Possible start of work: The award of the contract to the lowest compliant bidder should be completed at the municipal council meeting on May 23, 2023. Consequently, the order to begin the work may be issued as soon as the mandate is granted. Duration of work: Following the written order of the Supervising Engineer to proceed with the execution of the Work, the Contractor has forty-five (45) consecutive business days for the complete execution of the Work scheduled for 2023. This period includes the complete completion of the work. It must therefore provide for the number of teams required (machinery, labour, equipment and subcontractors) to carry out this work within the prescribed time. For the paving of the second layer scheduled for 2024, the Contractor has two (2) consecutive business days for the complete completion of the work. In addition, all work on Pearson Avenue must be completed between June 23 and July 14, 2023, including grassing work. An exception is authorized for the installation of the temporary aqueduct that can be built from June 19.
