The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material and equipment necessary or required to complete all work set forth in these Specifications and shown on the Plans and includes the demolition and disposal of the Thickened Sludge Storage Tanks (TSST) and Oxidized Sludge Storage Tanks (OSST) including their foundations, and backfilling of foundations: Cleaning of tanks before demolition, demolition of scraper in the Spent Carbon Thickening Tank (SCTT), SCTT repairs, roof/hatch modifications and new submersible mixer, installing underground piping to connect SCTT to system, cap and/or remove pipe segments to disconnect demolished tanks from system and piping modifications in the Plant 3 Gallery and Plant 2 Basement areas, SCADA system programming, and other modifications as shown on the drawings. Plans, Specifications and forms of bid for the proposed work prepared by Richard A. Alaimo Associates, Authority Engineer, have been filed in the office of said ENGINEER, at 200 High Street, Mount Holly, New Jersey, and may be inspected by prospective bidders during the regular business hours Bidders who have previously submitted bids for this project will be furnished a new set of Plans and Specifications at no charge. Bids must be made on the standard Proposal form in the manner designated therein and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the Mount Holly Municipal Utilities Authorit6y, and must be accompanied by Certified Check, Bid Bond or Cashier's Check drawn to the order of the Mount Holly Municipal Utilities Authority for ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, provided said security need not be more than $20,000.00. All bid guarantees shall be accompanied by an executed consent from an approved surety company, licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey, agreeing to furnish the required Performance and Maintenance Bond upon the award of contract The right is reserved to reject any or all Proposals, in whole or in part, or to make awards to such bidder or bidders who, in the judgment of the Mount Holly Municipal Utilities Authority is the lowest responsible bidder and to waive such informalities as may be permitted by law.
