Project Scope of Work: The MDOC is obtaining a new WIFI cabling system and installation and connection of owner provided Wireless Network equipment. Wireless network equipment shall include: Wireless Access points -WAPS Ethernet Switches Wireless Controllers Firewall Appliances Servers WIFI cabling scope shall include but not be limited to: Provide, install, terminate, test and label a complete CAT-6A cabling infrastructure to support a new WIFI (wireless) network. Provide and install raceways and cable supports as specified and as required to support all new cabling and Wireless Access Points. See drawings and specifications for raceways and pathways. The contract shall include the installation and connection of all Wireless network equipment. Work shall include: Traveling to the owner's storage location and picking up all WIFI equipment and delivering to the project location. Storing of WIFI equipment in a contractor provided lockable storage unit in the lay-down area. Installation of all wireless network equipment. this includes: Mounting of owner provided all WAPS in all buildings. Mounting of owner provided Ethernet switches in existing racks in all buildings. Mounting of owner provided wireless controllers in existing rack in Admin building. Mounting of owner provided Firewall in existing rack in Admin building. Mounting of owner provided server in existing rack in admin building in Admin building. Provide and install CAT-6A patch cords at the WAP and at the Ethernet switch for each WAP. See specifications for types and lengths required. Provide and install all Fiber optic patch cords for connection of Ethernet Switch(es) in each building to the Core Ethernet switch in the Admin building. o Verify connector type of fiber prior to ordering patch cables. Verify connectivity lights on all WAPS and Ethernet Switches. Label WAP patch panels with the WAP number as shown in the drawings and specifications. Provide a PC at the site and IP PING each device via the network and verify connectivity. Fix any device connection that is not operational. The owners (and their Cisco Partner) work on the WIFI network equipment includes: Obtaining of Wireless network equipment and storage at their warehouse in Michigan. Configuration of all wireless network equipment per owners' recommendations Labeling of WAPS with WAP number and labeling outside of WAP box with WAP number and building where it is to be installed. Labeling of Ethernet switches with IP address and Switch name. Labeling of Ethernet switch box with building name where it is to be installed. Please do not submit online questions via SIGMA VSS.
