This project will establish plans and specifications needed to refurbish the Aquatic Center deck and pool. Specifications will include the demolition of the current plaster on both pools, removal and installation of bulkhead, repair of rebar and correction of gutter issues, grout underwater pool and gutter tiles, and plaster pools. The deck, which is deteriorating will also be refurbished due to the deterioration of concrete; the rebar is corroding. Deck repair specifications will include the grinding of 1/8" of the cement, to resurface, replace corroded rebar and remove tiles at the edge of the cutters closest to the cement The project is included in the City of Coronado's FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of October 26, 2023, this project is in design. Information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available. Construction is anticipated in the fall/winter of 2023.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
