Prevailing Wages for Work on State Highways; Annual Adjustments. With respect to contracts for work on state highways and bridges on state highways, the Contractor shall comply with the provisions of Section 31-54 and 31-55a of the Connecticut General Statutes, as revised.d, every Contractor or subcontractor performing project work on a federal aid project is required to post the relevant prevailing wage rates as determined by the United States Secretary of Labour. The wage rate determinations shall be posted in prominent and easily accessible places at the work site. The Engineer reserves the right to periodically adjust the work hours in the interest of public safety. The City also has the right to recover its costs of doing business if the Engineer orders the Contractor to perform work outside of normal working hours or during "non-working days" in order to correct deficient work A Bid bond, cashiers or certified check may be required with your response.
