As of May 16, 2023, project was awarded to Maiocco Excavating Inc, awarded amount is $152,705.14. Bids may be held by Prompton Borough for a period not to exceed five (5) days from the date of Bid Opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidder, prior to award of contract. Prompton Borough will award the bid to the lowest responsible bidder, reserving the right to waive any informality and accept or reject any and all bids. A bid bond for 10% of the base bid amount shall be provided with the bid. A Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract amount shall be provided by the successful bidder within 20 days of the award. Any questions regarding this solicitation shall be submitted via the Questions feature within Electronically no later than Friday April 28, 2023, at 4:00 PM. The project briefly described is: Culvert Replacement and paving of River Road (+-1312 LF South of Roosevelt Highway & +-1300 LF North of Roosevelt Highway). Replace existing culvert. Sweep and Clean roadway. Apply tack coat. Apply Superpave 9.5 mm scratch/leveling course @ 0.06 T/SY over existing roadway. Apply Superpave 9.5 mm wearing course @ 0.09 T/SY and compact to 1.5 inches over existing pavement. Ensure a 5' driveway transitions. Place/Compact 2A Modified shoulders at 2.0 ft. minimum width, Apply tack coat to shoulders. The following Scope-of-Work is intended to supplement the project documents as prepared by Kiley Associates, LLC. This bid package includes construction work for culvert replacement and road repairs on roads within Prompton Borough. It also includes administrative and coordination responsibilities. All work indicated in the project documents is to be completed as in-scope without exception and includes, but is not limited to, the following: Contractor is responsible to clean their work area of all debris which is generated as a result of their work on a daily basis. Debris removal is the responsibility of the contractor. Provide all specified products and materials. Protection of surrounding areas and existing items to remain. All unloading/loading as required to complete this scope of work. All deliveries and staging area shall be coordinated with the Project Manager and Owner so as not To disrupt the Owner's ongoing use of the premises. Replace existing 36" RCP Culvert in accordance with attached GP-7 Permit and plan set. All road repair work as indicated in the contract documents. Work shall include the furnishing of all labor, equipment, tools, and materials required for the shaping of existing shoulders (including disposal of excess material), road base repair, shaping and compaction of roadway surfaces, pothole patching, leveling course and wearing course, all conforming to lines, grades, width, and depth, indicated in the contract documents and in accordance with PennDOT Pub 408, latest edition. Site Clearing and Grubbing / Site Demolition / Disposal of debris offsite including disposal costs Site Excavation, cut and fill, including compaction Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Offsite disposal of waste and unsuitable excavation, including disposal costs Saw-cutting existing pavement, temporary restoration with #2A stone Provide record drawings, manuals, instructions, certifications, and warranties as required General construction fees, mercantile taxes, and approvals as required Provide all accessories, supports and materials necessary to complete the intended work within this bid package The successful contractor is responsible to provide and pay for all temporary utilities The successful contractor is responsible for the security of their own materials, equipment, and tools throughout the duration of the project. The successful contractor will be required to provide Payment and Performance Bonds.
