THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR BID, PLAN AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE Full and Open Competition with HUBZone price preference PROJECT NUMBER: TX FLAP 200(1) PROJECT NAME: WIDENING JONES STREET AND NORTH KEALY AVENUE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ADJACENT TRAIL NEAR LEWISVILLE LAKE ENVIRONMENTAL LEARNING AREA PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project is located northwest of Dallas in Lewisville, Texas, Denton County. The Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area (LLELA) project accessed by Jones Street from the west or North Kealy Avenue from the south. SCOPE OF THE WORK: The primary objective of the proposed improvements is the reconstruction of East Jones Street and North Kealy Avenue existing roadway with Portland Concrete Cement Pavement (PCCP) in addition to widening will include a new bike lanes and new curb and gutter. The proposed improvement to East Jones Street extends east from the intersection with North Cowan Avenue for approximately 0.5 miles to the LLELA entrance where East Jones Street terminates. The proposed improvements to North Kealy Avenue extend north from the at grade crossing with the Kansas City Southern railroad tracks for approximately 0.35 miles to the LLELA entrance where North Kealy Avenue terminates. This project intends to re-align the intersection of Jones Street and North Kealy Avenue to make a safer, less obstructed turning situation for drivers while staying within the existing City of Lewisville right-of-way. PRINCIPAL WORK ITEMS: Approximate quantities for major work items: 5.20 Acre Clearing and Grubbing 4,900 LNFT Removal of Fence 9,000 Sqyd Removal of Asphalt 7,600 Cuyd Roadway Excavation 14,000 Sqyd Subgrade Stabilization (8-inch lime) 14,000 Sqyd Subgrade Stabilization (16-inch moisture treatment) 300 Ton Lime (8-inch depth) 13,700 Sqyd Minor Concrete Pavement, reinforced, 10-inch depth. 1,350 LNFT 24-inch pipe Culvert 5,800 LNFT Curb, concrete, 16-inch depth ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE: Advertisement - October 2024 Award-December 2024 Construction - December 2024 through August 2025 ESTIMATED COST RANGE: Between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
