Bridge structure will be per KYTC HS-25 Loading Specs and 40 foot length x 24 foot width - 35 degree right skew prestressed concrete or 588 weathering steel bridge with guardrails to be set on concrete abutments. Bidders can submit either an open steel grated deck, a precast concrete deck, all form materials needed to pour a concrete deck, or any combination of the three. The poured option will need to include all the material (stay-inplace decking, etc.) everything except the concrete and rebar material itself. The deck will need to be designed by a P.E. and included. Bidder shall supply their own KYTC approved design drawings, stamped by a P.E. for the bridge structure and abutments. No concrete material or rebar will be included into this price. Concrete abutments will also need to accompany the bridge plan, to include size, rebar size and spacings, etc. also signed by P.E. This bid is for the structure itself and delivery to a location on Hatchett Mill Road approximately 1.2 miles northeast of the intersection of Kentucky Highway 351 and Hatchett Mill Road but not for installation. The Henderson County Fiscal Court reserves the right to accept or reject any and or all bids if, in its judgement, the best interest of the county will be served. Conflicts of interest, gratuities and kickbacks as defined by KRS 44A.455 are absolutely prohibited. The provisions of these statutes shall be noted and acknowledged by the users of this procurement document. All bids must be in accordance with the provisions and shall be submitted along with a signed Non-Collusive Agreement. Henderson County does abide by the Residential Bidder Preference per KRS 45A.494. Prior to a contract being awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, a resident bidder of Kentucky shall be given a preference against a nonresident bidder registered in any state that gives or requires a preference to bidders from that state. The preference shall be equal to the preference given or required by the state of the nonresident bidder. In the case of a tie bid, preference will go to the resident bidder. All bids are to be made in accordance with these provisions and shall be submitted in multiples of (8) copies.
