SCOPE OF WORK Fields 2, 3, and 4 at the Park West Recreation complex were originally built in 2005. Field 2 is a Pony League Field that has base anchors for quickly changing to a smaller field layout. Fields 3 and 4 are Intermediate League Baseball Fields. The successful Bidder will perform infield renovations and reestablish the appropriate dimensions as specified in the attached drawings for all three infields. Any lips that are currently at the transition between the clay and grassed areas, low spots, and high spots will be removed and leveled. The three infields are currently skinned and will remain skinned. For the infield renovations, home plate circle will be reconstructed, and no pitching mound will be established. Portable pitching mounds will be reused or provided by the Town of Mount Pleasant for all three fields. Plates, bases, and anchoring systems must be replaced during the infield renovations. The successful Bidder must provide infield mix replenishment. The successful Bidder must include add options with the cost for outfield renovations. The pricing for the outfield renovation should be per field so the town can perform additional work that the budget allows. Two options will be considered for outfield renovation, laser grading and topdressing. The successful Bidder must include an add option for an irrigation system for an entire field (infield and outfield). The pricing for the irrigation system must be per field so the town can perform additional work that the budget allows. Renovation on either an infield or outfield must include initial field striping. Liquidated Damages The successful Bidder shall agree that if the work, or any part thereof, is not completed within the time agreed and indicated in the solicitation document that he shall be liable to the Town in the amount of Four Hundred and 00/100 ($400.00) Dollars per day for each and every calendar day the completion of the work is delayed beyond the time provided in the contract. A Bid deposit shall be required from all Bidders, equal to five (5%) percent of the Bid amount. This deposit may be in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or bond. Separate Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the Contract amount will be required from the successful Bidder upon signing of the Contract. All Bidders shall be properly licensed by the State of South Carolina. Written notification must be received no later than 12:00 P.M. on August 10, 2023 All other inquiries shall be directed to Jennifer Berger, Procurement Agent, jberger@tompsc.com. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the solicitation, to negotiate with all qualified Bidders, to accept or reject any or all Bids received as a result of this Invitation, to cancel in part or in its entirety and to award or refrain from awarding the project to any Bidder, if it is in the best interest of the Town to do so.
