The extent of the project is as follows: The project generally includes the installation of approximately 21,000 LF of nominal inside diameter 24-inch and 12-inch trenched or trenchless sanitary sewer force main, 2,270 LF of storm sewer, 1,685 LF of 8-inch and 6-inch water main, water services, 17,750 SY of PCC mainline paving, 3,000 SY of sidewalk or multi-use trail removal and/or installation, 1,410 SY of PCC driveway installation, 15 acres of seeding, 5,250 SF of block segmental retaining wall installation, erosion control, and other associated work. The Contractor's bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check shall be in an amount of 5% of the Contractor's bid amount made payable to the Treasurer of the City of Plattsmouth, Nebraska. The certified or cashier's check may be cashed by the Owner, or the bid bond forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a Contract and file an acceptable bond satisfactory to the Owner assuring the faithful fulfillment of the Contract and maintenance of said improvements, as required by law, within ten days after the acceptance of the Contractor's bid. No Bidder shall withdraw his Bid for at least 30 days after the actual date of the receipt of bids The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interest of the Owner.
