The extent of work on this project is the furnishing of all labour, equipment, and materials for the construction of improvements generally described as follows: The project includes construction of a 147-stall parking lot roughly 5,700 SY in size located north of Lake Petocka at the Bondurant Recreational Sports Complex (BRSC). The parking surface shall consist of an 8 IN granular surface with paved PCC access and ADA parking areas in the base bid and include roughly 260 LF of reinforced concrete pipe of various diameters. Work on said project shall commence any time after the contract has been awarded (April 17, 2023) and shall be fully completed by September 29, 2023. Final Completion generally includes full restoration and seeding of the site and all other items not related to construction of the parking surface and storm sewer. Substantial Completion shall be reached by August 10, 2023 Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond, a cashier or certified check drawn on an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) Additionally, the contractor must provide the City with a guarantee of maintenance of said improvement in the form of surety for a period of four (4) years from the time of acceptance by the City. The City reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive any and/or all technicalities and/or all irregularities.
