As of January 9, 2024, an engineer has been selected and this project is in the design phase. It is anticipated bidding will commence in June 2024, with construction following. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Public utility district no. 1 of skamania county engineering design of underwood pressure zone 3 reservoir replacement project proposals due 2:00 pm, march 23, 2023 request for proposal RFP no. 23-2public utility district no. 1 of skamania county (district) is issuing this request for proposal (RFP) no. 23-2 to select an engineering firm to provide the design, environmental permitting, specifications, bid contract documents, construction cost estimates, general contractor bid evaluation assistance, and construction management for the underwood pressure zone 3 reservoir replacement project. The project will replace the existing huber drinking water reservoir with a new 250,000-gallon, 47-foot diameter, welded-steel tank on an adjacent property. The project scope is more specifically described in RFP no. 23-2. Professional engineering firms desiring to submit proposals shall contact melanie sharp, project & water manager at (509) 219-0134 or e-mail msharp@skamaniapud.Com to obtain RFP no. 23-2. Proposals that do not follow the submittal requirements defined in RFP no. 23-2 will not be evaluated. The proposal package must be submitted no later than march 23, 2023 at 2:00 pm. It is anticipated the resulting responses will be evaluated, the most qualified candidates may be interviewed, and a professional services agreement will be negotiated.
