Bid is cancelled. The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority ("Authority") may have an opportunity to take ownership of cubicle workstations ("Furniture") located on Airport property at the San Diego International Airport ("Airport") in exchange for the Respondent dismantling and removing the Furniture from Airport property with the priority of repurposing the Furniture. This opportunity arises from the Authority's New Terminal 1 project. Due to the nature of such project, timelines are subject to change, in the sole discretion of the Authority Online Q&A:No Questions Due By: March 27, 2023 2:00 P.M. The Furniture was installed from 2003 through 2018 for use by Authority personnel. The Furniture is located in a three-story administrative office building located at 3225 North Harbor Drive ("Administration Building"). The Furniture, in its current configuration, accommodates approximately 162 workstations within approximately 154,000 square feet of space. A freight elevator is available to facilitate removal of items. The Furniture is composed of 64" tall Haworth Premise branded panels (some have glass panels on top) and internal storage. No task chairs will be included. Below is a breakdown of the cube workstation counts by size. In general, the Work includes Respondent removing from the Airport site the Furniture. Work under this RFI is based on the following scope: 1. Respondent shall provide all equipment, materials and labor needed to: mobilize on Airport site; disassemble Furniture; pack in transport trucks; remove off the Airport site; 2. Respondent shall be responsible for temporary relocation, storage, and protection of existing property and items that may be in the way of its Work, and shall not impede the other activities occurring at the Airport site or disrupt Authority operations and business; 3. In the sole discretion of the Authority, temporary use of the first-floor lobby and front and east side of the Administration Building shall be available to execute the Work. Respondent shall phase the Work in such a manner as to remain within the allocated area. No staging is permitted; 4. Respondent shall be responsible for all associated costs of the Work, including disassembling, packaging, staging, handling, loading, and transporting the Furniture, including any other costs associated with temporary storage, restaging, reassembly, and reuse; 5. The Furniture is as-is with no promise, representation, warranty, or guarantee on the integrity and condition of the Furniture in part or in whole. Respondent shall diligently examine the existing conditions and make the determination at its own risk on all Work and logistics needed to support the Work provided in this RFI including any improvements or reconditioning that may be necessary for reassembly and reuse; 6. Contractor shall at all times during the term of the Agreement maintain, at its own cost and expense, the following minimum levels and types of insurance: A. Commercial General Liability (including without limitation, Contractual Liability, Personal and Advertising Injury, Independent Contractors and Products/Completed Operations coverage written on an "occurrence," not "claims made" basis): in the amount of one million dollars ($1,000,000) each occurrence and twice in the aggregate. a. The Commercial General Liability policy shall be endorsed to include the Authority, its agents, officers and employees as an additional insured. b. The coverage provided to the Authority, as an additional insured, shall be primary and noncontributory. B. Commercial Automobile Liability: Covering Owned, Non-Owned, and Hired Automobiles written on an "occurrence," not "claims made" basis in the amount of one million dollars ($1,000,000) combined single limit for bodily injury and property damage. C. Workers' Compensation and Employer's Liability: In the amounts required by California State law for Workers' Compensation and, but not less than one million dollars ($1,000,000) for Employer's Liability. Such coverage shall include a Waiver of Subrogation endorsement in favor of the Authority. 7.
