The project consists of renovations to approx. 1,236 sf of the Relocation Gaston County IT Data Center and renovation of the existing Data Center, including demolition and renovation in the existing IT Data Center and the construction of the new Data Center in the adjacent room. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents in writing to: Rebecca Edison, Project Coordinator rebecca.edison@gastongov.com Deadline for questions is 5:00pm, Monday, August 5, 2024 No bid shall be considered or accepted by Gaston County unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a deposit of cash or certified check on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. In lieu of making the cash deposit, bidder may file a bid bond executed by a corporate surety licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute such bonds, conditioned that the surety will, upon demand forthwith make payment to the obligee upon said bond if the bidder fails to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. This deposit shall be retained if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract within ten (10) days after the award or fails to give satisfactory surety as required herein.
