**Addendum 1 has been issued, please contact the owner to obtain** The Contract majorly consists of the following: 6 inch and 8 inch water main rehabilitation through spray in place application of a semi-structural in-situ liner, pipe bursting; valve and fitting replacements; open cut dig and re-lay; and water service renewal and open-cuts. Ancillary tasks include, but are not limited to fire hydrant replacement, sidewalk and pavement replacement, and other site renewal tasks. Sealed proposals and MWBE Documents must be submitted on the blank forms provided and as specified in the bound copies of the contract documents. This is a non-bifurcated bid process. However, the MWBE Office request that the Proposal and MWBE Documentation be enclosed in two different sealed envelopes addressed to Mr. Ted Barker, Engineering Division, 300 West Washington Street, Suite 322, Greensboro, North Carolina 27401.The outside of each envelope shall be plainly marked with the Project Name; Contract Number; the name, address, and license number of the Bidder; and with the notation "BID ENCLOSED", and the other envelope with the MWBE participation noted as "MWBE DOCUMENTS ENCLOSED". No proposal shall be considered or accepted by the City unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a five percent bid security as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. A separate performance bond and payment bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required of the Successful Bidder following award of the Contract by the City. Consideration will be given only to proposals submitted by contractors licensed in the state of North Carolina under the Contractor's Licensing Act of 1925 or as amended. Neither OWNER nor ENGINEER will be responsible for copies of the Bidding Documents obtained from sources other than the City of Greensboro. City of Greensboro personnel will discuss MWBE requirements and the ENGINEER will be available to discuss the Contract and answer pertinent questions. Attendance is strongly encouraged. The City reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids or to award such contract as in its judgment is deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
