Project work includes installation of a new screw press system and feed pump along with the required piping, valving, conduit, and cont \ fsvz The Work includes the installation of equipment that has been prepurchased by the City and construction necessary for a second train of dewatering equipment at the Cedar City Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility. Construction shall include piping, pipe supports, one new solids feed pump, one new screw press system (including polymer feed unit, flocculation tank, air compressor, booster pump, and fan), building HVAC improvements, a new monorail crane system, and associated electrical and instrumentation and control work necessary for a complete, operational system. Question Deadline 03/16/2023 The Work to be performed under this Contract shall consist of furnishing tools, equipment, materials, supplies, and manufactured articles, and furnishing all labor, transportation, and services, including fuel, power, water, and essential communications, and performing all work or other operations required for the fulfillment of the Contract in strict accordance with the Contract Documents. The Work shall be complete, and all work, materials, and services not expressly indicated or called for in the Contract Documents which may be necessary for the complete and proper construction of the Work in good faith shall be provided by the Contractor as though originally so indicated, at no increase in cost to the Owner. A. In general, the principal items of work under this Contract include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following: 1. The expansion of the Cedar City Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility's dewatering train including the installation of a new screw press system and feed pump purchased by the Owner, and the required piping, valving, conduit and controls, and appurtenant work for a complete operable system. 2. Any damage done to any of the existing facilities during the course of construction shall be repaired by the Contractor or applicable Subcontractor and shall be paid for by the Contractor. 3. Provide all temporary services as necessary, such as power, lighting, heating, security and potable water. 4. Assure continuous operation of existing facility during construction, except during times of agreed upon shutdown, and not prevent or hinder access to active areas of the facility. 5. Daily cleanup of the site including the removal of rubbish, scrap and securing of materials/equipment. 6. Federal, state, local or other required permits and approvals as required. It is the responsibility of the Contractor that all work shall met OSHA compliance and any additional safety requirements from the Owner. 7. Concrete work as specified herein or on the Contract Drawings. 8. Working outside of normal business hours is only permitted with the written permission of the Owner. 9. All other work required for a complete and satisfactory operating installation. B. The foregoing description(s) shall not be construed as a complete description of all Work required. C. The Work shall be performed at the Owner's Cedar City Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility, 7218 N 2300 W, Cedar City, Utah.
