Matane port facilities redevelopment project. The redevelopment will include, at a minimum, the construction of a new berth, the development of new storage areas, the demolition and reconstruction of the existing commercial wharf, the demolition of the service tunnel, the complete repair of the pavements, including sewers, aqueduct, electricity and lighting, the relocation of the harbor master's office and the gatehouse, the raising of the riprap and other related work. TIMELINE: Contract for design services has been awarded. Reference number: 1688481. Contract for professional services to complete a structural assessment has been awarded. Reference number: 1684960. The main objective of this mandate is to conclude the technical and feasibility analysis stages carried out in 2020 and 2021 by various external consultants. The consultant will have to take cognizance of the existing documentation, carry out the additional studies required, study various options, provide sketches and cost estimates and make a recommendation, based on the needs of the SPBSG. In addition, the impact study leading in particular to obtaining the government decree required for the realization of the project is required in this mandate. To achieve this objective, the consultant will be required to provide marine engineering and environmental services. Further update in early 2024.
